Hey, you.
It’s been a while. I’m sorry for disappearing in the last two months. Truth is, I burned out and needed a break. Turns out I was trying to do too much and my brain kind of went “That’s it! I’m done.”
It’s good to talk to you again. I missed this.
That being said, this newsletter won’t be like before. I’ve had to soul-search and find what works for me and at the moment, I can’t write this weekly. The last two months have been somewhat difficult on a personal level and since I’m easing back into creating, I need a schedule that I can keep up with. So Trying to Be Creative will now be fortnightly.
Ideally, I’d love to send it out on the 15th and 30th days of each month, but I predict it will generally be on the 2nd and 4th weeks of the month. I’d like to test this for the next few months and see how it works but I’m excited to keep sharing stuff here with you.
I took a complete break from photography and creating in the last 2 months, not just here but also on YouTube. But I’m back taking photos, making videos, and experimenting again.
Back in July, I was torn between getting a camcorder or a digicam. I finally decided on a digicam. it’s the Panasonic DMC ZS1 and while I’d love to tell you about it, I don’t want this comeback letter to be too long so I’ll just share some photos I’ve taken with it in the 2 weeks I’ve had it and we can talk about it some other time. (all the photos in this letter were taken with the cam)
Also, below are some videos I’ve made recently. It’s great to be back experimenting with photos and videos. Maybe it’s just the post-burnout energy that’s making me excited but whatever it is, it feels good.
Thanks for reading this far.
Thanks for sticking around while I was gone and to the new readers who came around, thank you.
Stay safe. Keep experimenting and if you need a break, feel free to take one.
See you November 15.
